The XPH14Z is positioned at the top of the LXT line-up of driver-drills. The 1\/2” Hammer Driver-Drill has a more compact and ergonomic design and is 14% shorter than the previous model. It's powered by a Makita brushless motor for longer run time, increased power and speed, and longer tool life. With a 2-speed transmission (0-550 \u0026amp; 0-2,100 RPM), the XPH14Z can tackle a wide range of drilling, fastening and hammer drilling applications. Other features include an all-metal ½” self-ratcheting chuck for improved bit-gripping strength, L.E.D. lights, and a rubberized soft grip for increased comfort.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe Kit also features an 18V LXT® Brushless 4-Speed Impact Driver (XDT20) sets new standards. The XDT20 offers 4-speed power selections (0-1,100\/ 0-2,100\/ 0-3,200\/ 0-3,600 RPM \u0026amp; 0-1,100\/ 0-2,600\/ 0-3,600\/ 0-3,800 IPM) which provides precise fastening control for a wide range of applications. The Impact Driver features Assist Mode (A-mode) which helps eliminate \"\"screw cam-out\"\" and \"\"cross threading\"\" by driving at low speed until tightening begins. It also features two Tightening Modes (T-mode) for faster tightening of self-drilling screws in thick or thin gauge metal that helps prevent damage to the screw or workpiece.
