The rail-forward design maximizes workspace when the miter saw is positioned flush against a wall. The miter saw has a large 3-5/8” x 15” cutting capacity at 90-degrees. The saw miters 0° to 60° left and right and bevels from 0° to 48° (left and right). The efficient brushless motor runs cooler and more efficiently for longer tool life, with direct drive that delivers 3,600 RPM for faster cutting performance, with no belts to slip or replace. Extension wings are included for cutting longer materials, and retract for easier storage. An electric brake provides maximum productivity. An L.E.D. light casts a shadow of the saw blade onto the material for an exact cutting line. For improved efficiency, it is capable of wirelessly starting a connected dust management solution. Auto-start Wireless System (AWS®) utilizes Bluetooth® technology for wireless communication between the tool and dust extractor (sold separately). When the trigger of the AWS-equipped GSL04M1 is engaged, the AWS-equipped dust extractor powers-up. When the trigger is released, the dust extractor powers-down. AWS is intelligent communication that eliminates cords and excessive noise since the dust extractor runs only when the tool is running. An AWS transmitter is needed (sold separately).
